Farewell wish from Mrs. Hannigan

I wanted to send a little note to say goodbye, as I move on as Principal of St. Mary's School.  It is certainly a bittersweet way to say good-bye, as I had imagined being able to wave good-bye to the students on the “last day of school”, as the buses left the parking lot. Nonetheless, I have much to be grateful for, and feel blessed to have been able to spend this year working with the students, staff and parent community of St. Cecilia School.  I have learned so much from Mrs. Prevost as well as the staff, and enjoyed working with the parents and members of our school council. St. Cecilia is lucky to have a wonderful and supportive family community. Thank you !

To the students of St. Cecilia: I will miss you all, and I wish you all the best as you continue your learning in September. You have learned a lot about resilience in the past few months- and you have learned that even though things don’t always go the way you want them to, you can handle it, especially with the help of family, teachers and your faith.

Mrs. Joyce Robinson, is your in-coming Vice-Principal,  and she and I have met many times (virtually, of course) over the past month and I know that she is very excited about leading and learning in this wonderful school. I hope you always treasure the many blessings that St. Cecilia offers. I will certainly treasure the memories.

Have a safe and relaxing summer,

Mrs. Hannigan
