Dear Parents/Guardians:

As time progresses and we navigate through the fourth week of distance learning, we continue to wonder where things will stand in May and June. We are currently awaiting the announcement from the Minister of Education and Ontario Medical Officer of Health with regards to our entry back to school. We want to recognize and thank our Educators who are diligently and creatively providing appropriate schoolwork for all our students and also thank our parent community for being so flexible and working so hard with their children. We realize it is not the same as being in the classroom or at school but we strive to provide the best opportunities possible for each and every student.

We would like to remind our families that we are continuing to accept registrations for the fall. If you know of someone who would like to register please direct them to the OCSB website and the online registration. It is important that we gather our numbers ahead of September. If you are moving and will not be at St. Cecilia in the fall, please let us know by sending an email to the school email.

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Vice-Principal, Lori-Ann Hannigan, who has recently been appointed to the position of Principal. Mrs.Hannigan will be moving to St. Mary Catholic School for the 2020-2021 school year. We wish her the very best in her role and thank her for her contributions to St Cecilia. Joining our St. Cecilia family will be Mrs. Joyce Robinson who will be coming from St. Thomas More Catholic School. I know you will give her a warm welcome when she arrives.

The world as we know it has changed. The events that are taking place will have marked a spot in our hearts and memories that will not likely disappear. Please take the time to be with your family, tell your family how much you love them and do not take this time for granted. This too shall pass. We will be stronger! We will get through it! Your St.Cecilia family will continue to reach out and help in any way we can.

Stay safe! Stay home! Stay healthy! Stay strong! We miss you!
